OMEGA "Anakin Skywalker" chronograph, ref. 145.023 from 1970

The case is a tungsten-coated stainless steel superalloy with a hard metal finish. Unique octagonal two-piece construction. Excellent condition. The dial has a great combination of colour schemes - black, blue, red and orange - and is excellent for reading. It was equipped with the famous Cal.861, the same model as the Speedmaster Professional. The hard-metal Seamaster Chronograph with a large helmet-like angled case was also available in black, commonly known as "Darth Vader". The silver-coloured version is known as the "Anakin Skywalker". The Anakin Skywalker model is a rarity, with only 400 to 800 pieces produced. A very spacey design made by OMEGA!
