A main contributor to the Submariner's fanfare over the decades is how relatively unchanged the model has been throughout the production run. It's maintained its core design ethos: black bezel, black dial, large markers, and the iconic Oyster bracelet. Any evolution has been subtle, with Rolex determined to keep to the core of the style it pioneered, which has since become the primary influence for the entire dive watch genre.
